Dave his thrilled to be in the drivers seat of the 1951 campervan |
Drove on next day looking for another campground. Swan
valley very pretty and the ladies in Guilford info centre very helpful. One of
the oldest parts of Perth and very English looking with village green, church
and cottages. Unfortunately campgrounds not right for us. Drove on to Armadale
but three cravan parks were residential and not for tents. Driving and looking
at campgrounds getting very hard work when we got to Woodmans Point on the
coast 10kms from Fremantle. Perfect big 4 camp and residential place. Watched
sunset and Youngmi chatted to Korean guy fishing from jetty. Two scuba divers
going out after dark. They said they had good torches.
Took the car to Tyrepower as one of the tyres had been trying to go flat since Darwin. They fixed the tyre which had a nail in for $25. Car feels much better. Walked around Freo which has lots of old buildings and in places the atmosphere of Accrington
Came back in the evening which was wonderful. Pubs, cafes, market, fishing boat Harbour with fish and chips. Everyone very friendly and prices reasonable , different to the impression we had of booming Perth.
