Mount Toubkal refuge


After a taxi ride from Marakesh to Imlil , about 1 hour, we walked for five hours to the Mt Toubkal refuge.

The Iftar meal at a cafe across from out hotel. There was a set meal to break the ramadan fast. Poor and old people were fed for free as part of the hospitality tradition

Camel riding agony

Having thought nothing could be worse than the red hot van, I was wrong. A 90 minute camel ride across the desert to our camp for the night. I didn't know my legs could be so sore but eventually we made it and I was lifted off to recover. A great experience to look back on
