Nepal Everest Base Camp 1978

Walking to base camp. Most locals had no shoes and really wide feet. Feet much better than my squashed ones

10 days of walking across country up and down 5,000ft each day

Each afternoon we looked for a big house and asked if we could stay night. Usually yes

Prayer stones.I was getting thinner as very little food on the track except above Lukla.
